My name is Kristjana Carmen.
I was born and raised in Iceland and have been based in Copenhagen, Denmark since 2000.
I'm a licensed esthetician, certified by Cidesco International in Copenhagen.
A few years later, I completed a make-up artist course at the London College of Fashion in England, further expanding my passion for beauty and creativity.
From 2014 to 2022, I co-owned a retro beauty parlor in Copenhagen, Juicy Beauty, where I combined my love for vintage aesthetics with modern beauty treatments. I managed a team and trained one cosmetic apprentice.
In addition to my work in the beauty industry, I have a deep appreciation for interior design, art, architecture, photography, vintage aesthetics, and style.
I love traveling, exploring nature, discovering new cities and cultures, and trying new cuisines.
Creativity and spirituality are central parts of my life.
I speak English, Danish, and Icelandic fluently.

Interior. Design of salon.
In 2014 the retro salon Juicy Beauty in the heart of Norrebro Copenhagen opened on a small street called Egegade, in a lively neighborhood in Copenhagen. A combination of hairdresser and beauty salon.
The goal was to design a salon so bright, fun and colorful that would make everyone happy. And with retro atmosphere. The salon was in existence from 2014 - 2022.
Everything has it´s time and now it was time for new experience and new challenges.

To paint
I grew up in an artistic family. My father took me to photography and painting exhibitions as a child. It was a gift and a great inspiration for me.
The art of make-up
I have always been interested in expressing myself creatively. In 2000 I was employed in a make-up and skincare shop in Reykjavik Iceland. In 2005 I took a course in makeup artistry, and It developed into me starting to paint.
